Follow the directional signs leading to the Saluting Battery starting from the main entrance into Valletta. These will take you along South Street onto Castille Place past the Auberge de Castille and to the Upper Barracca Gardens. The battery can be entered from both the Gardens and Battery Street next to it.
Opening TimesNOTE: The Saluting Battery will be closed from the 13th of February till the end of 2012 due to renovation plans. This project is part of the building of the first ever Military Park in Malta and is financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
The daily noon gun will however keep on being fired normally. Open Times: Mon to Sun between 10.00 & 13,00hrs (except Christmas, New Year's Day, Good Friday and Easter). Noon-day Gun Firing: 12.00hrs sharp. A brief commentary precedes the gun firing starting at 11.45hrs. Guided ToursGuided Tour: 11.00hrs
Exclusive after-hours tour: Visitors can opt for their own personal after-hours tour which will be held at their convenience at a charge of €25 for an individual and €10 per person in a group.
